Hi, Iām Kristen.
I am a Brooklyn-based fiber artist.
After filling tons of sketchbooks in my early years and studying theater design and studio art at Tulane University, I discovered weaving in 2015 through a workshop with Maryanne Moodie. This led to an immediate and enduring connection to the craft.
Though fiber arts is my primary focus, my creativity (and occasional hyperfocus) extends to illustration, watercolor, clawhammer banjo, and just about anything else that happens to catch my eye.
My artistic philosophy centers on the essential role of play, curiosity, and continuous learning ā a belief reflected in my own journey of picking up my first musical instrument at 37 and holding my first art exhibition at 41.
Through my art, I hope to inspire others to discover the joy of play and embrace the delight that comes from a lifelong practice of growth and discovery.
